Quilliam

“Quilliam” – the life and career of Manxman John Quilliam (1771-1829) – Nelson’s Flag Lieutenant at the Battle of Trafalgar

John Quilliam was an intertesting character in a number of ways – to begin with he was ‘pressed’, yet managed rapidly to forge a career in the Royal Navy.  He also made significant contributions to the history of his birthplace, the Isle of Man.

Commodore Gary Doyle RN, Naval Regional Commander, is to deliver this biographical presentation on Quilliam in what promises to be an engaging and informative evening.
