Thursday 13th November 2025: 7.30pm at the Newcastle upon Tyne Trinity House
A class of ship intended for long-range scouting, escort and patrol roles, frigates often ended up doing much more. With a long and distinguished history in many navies, a frigate was seen as a desirable posting, with increased chances of action, promotion, and prize money. Society member and regular speaker Terry Walton takes a look at their history.
Free admission to Society members, £4 admission to visitors. Light refreshments available.
We look forward to seeing you and please spread the word!
Fair Winds!
