COLLINGWOOD – The Social Context of Admiral Collingwood’s Naval Career

Thursday 12th September 2024, 7.30pm:  Morpeth Town Hall

We resume our programme with our customary September visit to Morpeth, with a talk incorporated into the annual Heritage Days event.  We will be at Morpeth Town Hall on Thursday 12th September at 7.30pm where Dr Tony Barrow will deliver his talk ‘The Social Context of Admiral Collingwood’s Naval Career’, beginning with an account of the Admiral’s Northumbrian background, before moving to the events of his long career, his character and his legacy.

As usual with Heritage Days events, there is no admission charge, so do encourage visitors to come along.  Light refreshments will be available.
