2026 Summer Outing: Royal Navy Museums Hartlepool   HMS Trincomalee”

Saturday 27th June 2026, 10.30 am Jackson Dock, Maritime Avenue, Hartlepool, TS24 0XZ

This year, the Society returns to Hartlepool and HMS TRINCOMALEE for our Summer Expedition. We were last there in 2015 and much has changed, most significantly of course, it now being run by the Museums of the Royal Navy.

Our visit includes a private tour of the ship, access to the Historic Quayside and the additional exhibitions, plus a private buffet lunch. The cost is £17.50 per head.

While priority has naturally gone to Society Members and their guests, there will possibly be some additional places available and those interested in our Admiral are always welcome! Admission is dependent on pre-registration and payment, as we have booked as a group.   Please do not just turn up on the day. If you are however interested in joining us for the visit, please contact the Society Treasurer to determine availability of places, exchange payment details and pass any dietary requirements.

The Treasurer can be reached at (ommanney@collingwoodsociety.co.uk),

The closing date for registration and payment is Sunday 14th June. Please note that once numbers are reached, that will be it. This post is no guarantee of availability.

Travel to and from Hartlepool is your own responsibility.

Assemble in the car park outside the entrance for 10.30am.  Please do not go inside independently, as we are expected to enter as a group.

Please wear suitable clothing and footwear.  Be aware that getting around the ship involves several companionways.

We do hope you will join us.  Fair Winds!
