Friday 21st October 2022 09.45 hrs The Cathedral Church of St Nicholas NEWCASTLE UPON TYNE Annual commemorative service, with the emphasis on Admiral Lord Collingwood. Public event.

 

Short service by the bust of the Admiral.  Assemble in the Eastern Chapel from 09.15 hrs. Newcastle City Centre, good travel links.
Friday 21st October 2022 11.00 hrs St. Paul’s Cathedral, LONDON Annual commemorative Trafalgar service.

 

The Crypt, St Paul’s Cathedral.

Assemble NW Crypt for 10.50 hrs.

Friday 21st October 2022 11.40 hrs Collingwood Monument, TYNEMOUTH Regular ‘Toast the Admiral’ event, hosted by North Tyneside Council.  Cdr. Chris Bovill RN will deliver the oration.

 

Collingwood Monument, Tynemouth, followed by refreshments in the TVLB Watch-house.  Free grog for the toast!  Assemble at the Monument from 11.20 hrs. Parking available in Prior’s Haven Car Park, opposite the Spanish Battery.  Good bus and Metro services to Tynemouth village.
Friday 21st October 2022 11.40 hrs Town Hall, MORPETH Regular commemorative event. Short service by the bust of the Admiral in the foyer, Morpeth Town Hall. Celebratory peal of bells from the Clock Tower. Assemble in Town Hall from 11.30 hrs. Ample parking in various car parks near the Town Hall.
Sunday 23rd October 2022 15.00 hrs St. Mary’s Churchyard (Heritage Centre), GATESHEAD Regular commemorative tribute to John William Trotter, Master of HMS LEVIATHAN at the Battle of Trafalgar.  Public event. Short service at the grave of Trotter, followed by refreshments inside the Centre.  Assemble in the Heritage Centre from 14.30 hrs. Next to the south end of the Tyne Bridge, adjacent to the Sage Music Centre, good bus services, limited parking at the Church, but plenty by the Sage.
